About the City
Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and is located on hilly terrain on the Atlantic coast. The imposing Castelo de São Jorge offers a wide view of the entire old town with its pastel-colored houses, the Tejo estuary and the suspension bridge Ponte 25 de Abril. The Museu Nacional do Azulejo displays decorative ceramic tiles from 5 centuries. Outside Lisbon, there are a number of Atlantic beaches between Cascais and Estoril.
